LUPE Votes, the leading grassroots political organization in the Rio Grande Valley, will host voter caravans in Alton and San Juan on Friday, Feb. 23 to take first-time and working class voters to the polls
What: LUPE Votes is hosting voter caravans in Alton and San Juan to take voters to the polls in support of Democratic candidates Michelle Vallejo for U.S. House of Reps. Texas District 15 and Roland Gutierrez for U.S. Senate.
When: Friday, Feb. 23 at 11 AM CDT
Where: The voter caravans will be hosted simultaneously at the following locations—
LUPE Alton office
416 S Alton Blvd., Suite A, Alton, TX 78573
LUPE San Juan Office
1601 U.S. Business 83, San Juan, TX 78589
(Corner of Cesar Chavez Rd. and Old Business 83)
Who: LUPE Votes, working class voters, and first-time voters
Visuals: In Alton, voters will line up outside the office with poster boards and flags before marching across Conway Ave. to vote at the Alton Recreation Center (349 Dawes Ave. Alton, TX).
In San Juan, voters will line up their cars outside the office with poster boards and flags before driving caravan-style to the Sgt. Fernando de la Rosa Library (416 N. Tower Rd. Alamo, TX).
